Ba Da Qing ("Raw", or Sheng) Pu'er from XiShuangBaNa...

Amongst the 14 Famous Mountains of XiShuangBaNa is Ba Da. Here, for centuries, local ethnic minority villagers have harvested leaves from ancient trees typical of the 1700+ year old tea tree shown below.

The tealeaves are harvested, sun dried and naturally aged allowing microbial development as oxidation and fermentation gradually occur. With time, the Ba Da Qing tea character continues to develop. 

While 30 years of aging is considered the threshold to reach advanced cup character, 10 years of aging begins to show significant character development, making the tea enjoyable and healthy, signifying the experience that will come with more time.

Well-worth enjoying at this early middle-age and sure to increase in pleasure and value over time, this Ba Da Qing selection is a treat for now and the future.

We suggest 175 degrees and a short infusion time for Ba Da Qing, but many infusions to gradually extract the high levels of content without over-steeping the potent leaves. You will find great cup character and increasing pleasure steep after steep.
